Amazing

My last post was 2 days ago...lots can happen in 2 days, actually quite a bit can and does happen in 1 day, Oklahoma weather, actually I think that should read...Oklahoma Weather.

Wednesday morning I took those photos on previous post, the temp dropped 40 degrees within several hours...went to bed with it raining/sleeting, more during the next morning with temps dropping steadily (remember, it was already in the 20'sF) then it started snowing, so beautiful, there's this sweet quiet that comes with the snow and I love that quiet.

I think they were even saying 'blizzard conditions', I don't know what it's like where you live, but the very least amount of 'weather' around here and you'd think the sky was falling...breaking news....it's insane. Yes, there's ice under the snow, do you really need to go out? If the answer to that is no, then don't, what more is there to say, think, or do? If you just have to go out in it, you'd best know how to drive in it, otherwise? Stay home.

This morning we woke up to this.....so here are a few photos...

The backyard as seen from patio door..(no, I didn't go 'out' for these photos, had already been out in the snow retrieving the newspaper)

This is out the kitchen door, which is the door we mostly use.

Icicles hanging off the house, I love icicles, the kids and I used to make icicle castles, villages...many long years ago....magical places.

Remember this tree? You can still see the nest, has a bit of snow in/on it.

Happy knitting to all and continue to make good time.

Good Grief, Honey--you weren't kidding about the snow! You can't even see your back steps! I love the muffling quiet of the snow, too, though. I think today is a great day for you to sip hot chocolate and knit by the fire!

Nice snowy photos! I just updated my blog too with snow photos. Since you're just down the road from me, it's probably a similar scene. Crazy weather, huh?

Glad to see we're not the only ones buried in snow! It's crazy, but still so cozy, eh? We've sure had some extreme weather the past few weeks! :0)

That is truly amazing for me.It was only like that in my town in the winter of '62 . I do remember that lovely quiet though because it did snow a few times as a child when we lived on the South coast . It is humid and very wet here . I guess if it suddenly gets cold we might get a bit of snow.

Now our backyards look similar, except mine has little pathways for Isla and Tibbie. Today it is dripping everywhere and the sun is shining!! Makes knitting all the more enjoyable. I am knitting a hat and scarf to give to the Sally Ann hamper for needy families. I have several hats to give and a few more might get done in the next day or two!

The snow and icicles make it look so magical Marianne, I'm so jealous, we don't get much snow at all here on the South Coast, even when its snowing everywhere else in the UK,it mostly misses us out.
Thankyou for the lovely comment today. xox

Don't you just love the first snowfall of the season, and waking up to a snow hushed world?

It really does seem like weather reports have become much more dramatic and the least bit of "weather" demands shrill and borderline hysterical pronouncements. Most annoying.
